Hornblower Group
April 2020 – Present · Boston, MA → Remote (Merrimack, NH)
Promoted three times in five years within one of the world's largest maritime transportation and hospitality companies (5,000+ employees, ~250 vessels, 100+ offices and ticket booths globally).
Technical Director, Global Operations
May 2024 – Present · Remote
I set the technical strategy and operating model across the fleet's distributed environments: vessels, shore facilities, and multiple business units. The work is connecting operations, logistics, finance, and procurement so handoffs shrink and execution stays predictable. Direct East Coast ownership; project leadership and strategic direction across UK, Ireland, Canada, and all US operations. Scope: ~250 vessels, 100+ offices and ticket booths, a 15-person global IT leadership team, and ~100 IT employees. I develop IT operating budget and vendor spend recommendations for PE firm approval.
- I direct global technology operations and standards, partnering with C-suite and SVP-level stakeholders on infrastructure strategy, operational risk, and cost management.
- I led the fleet connectivity transformation: 41 Starlink units deployed with Cradlepoint active/active failover at $500 per unit, replacing legacy VSAT systems that cost thousands monthly per vessel.
- I drove enterprise-wide standardization across the global fleet of vessels, offices, and ticket booths with a 30-person global team, and wrote the new-build technology playbook.
- I consolidated 78 US sites from multiple ISPs down to two providers, reducing about $200,000 in annual ISP spend by roughly 50%.
- I built and run a voluntary cross-departmental career development program. Peak attendance: 37 of 100 IT employees. People show up because the work is worth showing up for.
Technical Director, East Coast
November 2021 – May 2024 · Boston, MA → Remote
I expanded from single-market to multi-region ownership across seven metro markets: Boston, Philadelphia, NYC, Baltimore, DC, Alexandria, Norfolk.
- I added Mid-Atlantic operations to the Boston portfolio and established standardized incident response across distributed sites.
- I executed a complete re-IP of the Boston port infrastructure.
- I led the NYC Ferry standardization, bringing 38 vessels to consistent IT standards with a 15-person team in 8 months. The 95% uptime KPI required by the city contract was met. Not a sailing missed.
Director of IT, Boston
April 2020 – November 2021 · Boston, MA
- I completed the post-acquisition technology integration of Boston Harbor Cruises (BHC) into Hornblower, converting what was the largest site in the company onto enterprise standards while consolidating BHC and Entertainment Cruises Boston operations.
- I managed technology operations across 44 vessels and 11 shore-side offices with a two-person team.

Technical Support
Milford School District SAU 40
June 2009 – November 2013 · Milford, NH
Hired as a USMC veteran into a part-time technical support role. Stayed through four years of concurrent Bachelor's degree completion in Information Systems Security. Network administration, systems administration, and Active Directory across the district. The first job that taught me how IT shows up to the people who are not in IT.
Corporal, Crash Fire & Rescue Specialist
United States Marine Corps · 2003–2006
Life safety and emergency response on military flight lines. Deployed to Iraq. Honorably discharged. The discipline, composure under pressure, and bias toward action the Corps built are the foundation of how I lead. Disaster recovery, vendor negotiations, fleet-wide standardization. Different work, same operating posture.
